E' esattamente come l'ascia da Battaglia Nanica o la spada bastarda.
E' un'arma esotica a 1 mano (se hai il talento/competenza) o un'arma marziale a 2 mani (se non hai le competenze).
Nel primo caso puoi usarla anche a 2 mani (ma hai buttato un talento)

Se vuoi usarla a 1 mano devi avere il talento Competenze nelle Armi Esotiche (Maglio).
Se grazie al privilegio di razza non guadagni alcun vantaggio relativamente al maglio

Te l'ho scritto sopra.
Se hai il talento è a 1 mano. Se non hai il talento è a 2 mani.
E devi pagarlo doppio uguale se lo vuoi grande.
A tal riguardo ecco la FAQ:
The bastard sword, lance, and dwarven waraxe are all two-handed weapons that can be used in one hand under the correct circumstances (the bastard sword and dwarven waraxe are shown on Table 7–5 as one-handed exotic weapons, but they’re really two-handed weapons). Treat all three of these weapons as two-handed weapons when de termining who can use them and how. For example, a Small character cannot use a lance or bastard sword made for a Medium creature, even when mounted (in the case of a lance) or when the Small character has the Exotic Weapon Proficie ncy (bastard sword) feat.
Quindi normalmente è un'arma a 2 mani
